Victorine van Alphen - Artificial Intimacy Quiz  (Lecture performance)
‘The Artificial Intimacy Quiz’ invites you into the position of creator. You are confronted with radical decisions and human subtleties distilled from 'IVF-X: Posthuman parenting in hybrid reality', a futuristic cyborg clinic. Van Alphen questions our intimate relationship to the digital realm - and thus our own physicality - experientially. Through the cyborg clinic she has witnessed over 100 ‘couples' and singles eager to breed and meet their own cyborg babies, while navigating intimate reproduction desires & dilemma’s through a retro-futuristic interface. In ‘The Artificial Intimacy Quiz', Victorine will take you backstage into the dubious shoes of herself and eventually her audience as cyborg-makers.

Hadas Neuman - A CAMERA IN A BAG JOURNEY (Lecture performance)

WHO IS HADAS NEUMAN?
A filmmaker walking down the streets (with a camera in her bag).

WHAT IS THE PRODUCTION OF THE UNPREDICTABLE?
A production mode and a research where Hadas explores different ways in which she can use unpredictability as a narrative tool to reclaim the spectacle of everyday life and incorporate it into hybrid works that blend documentary and autofiction (where autobiographical elements meet fictional storytelling).

WHAT IS “A CAMERA IN A BAG”?
An experimental method of filming that consists of aimless wandering in search of an aim that would retrospectively justify the process. Invented through Hadas's introspection following two research trips (and counting) in the streets with a camera in her bag which functions as a confession, performance, and storytelling instigator

Sarah Fernandez - sinking/synching worlds (Performance)

The installation is a wild tale aimed at decentering our human perception. A speculative Camargue made of dreams of new ecological awareness toward human and non-human relations: that of the insect, animal, vegetal, elemental or of the statues and avatars.

Because decentralizing does not equal erasing, the human figure still haunts the land. In fact, we encounter many humanoids wandering in and out the digital swamp. Each human-like figure embodies a different aspect of the human experience. This scattered portrait looks at the human from a displaced point of view, through glimpses that never fixes those humanoid shapes, but allows them to mute and extend into something else.

Maybe by not looking straight and hard, through the distorted and ever-changing medium of the digital, Sarah and Ailin Formia could finally intercept something too subtle to be captured.  With the use of a motion-capture system and the interplay between the physical and digital, the duo will attempt to capture this in a series of live performances.
