Filmmaker Mei Liu’s lecture performance weaves together documentary materials, collected dreams, playful speculative fiction and personal reflections into an unexpected storytelling performance. “The map to a new world is in the imagination, in what we see in our third eyes, rather than in the desolation that surrounds us.” — Robin Kelley

This lecture performance is one of the outputs from her 2-year artistic research ‘Homesick for Another World’, apart from her speculative fiction feature film in development, and a ‘expanded screenplay’ multi-media installation (viewable at Netherlands Film Academy, Studio 5).
