The Master’s programme Artistic Research in and through Cinema will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a three night programme in October 2024, hosted in collaboration with IDFA at the IDFA Pavilion in Vondelpark.
Join us for a three-night event that reflects the lively research community and work the Master’s has fostered over the past 15 years. Over time, it has become not just a programme, but a moving body – a living archive of those who refuse to define cinema by what it is, but rather by what it dreams of becoming. Over the course of three days, alumni will share their practice through performance, cinema, poetry and conversations.
What to expect?
We will open on Wednesday 2 October with a lecture performance by alumnus Juan Palacios, and a reading of recent alumnus Malaz Usta. Festive drinks will complement the evening. On Thursday 3 October alumna Agnese Cornelio will give a lecture on reenactment and show her film Fondata sul Laboro. Friday 4 October we’ll screen and discuss short films by Misho Antadze, Ana Bravo-Pérez, Maria Molina Peiró and Eliane Esther Bots.
