The Netherlands Film Academy welcomes theater maker, educator and visionary David Glass as Artist in Residence this fall. Glass – founder and co-artistic director of the David Glass Ensemble – is internationally recognized as a pioneer in Physical/Visual and Devised Theatre and has worked in more than seventy countries.

During his residency, Glass will give program leaders of the Bachelor Film and lecturers of the Master of Film a three-day workshop "From Outcome to Process – A Story of Cultural Transformation" in September. The focus is on strengthening a culture where not only the end product matters, but especially the creative process, collaboration and imagination.

Over the past forty years, Glass has developed the Five-Stage Creative Practice – from Preparation and Origination to Reflection – an approach that views creativity as a cyclical and relational process. The method is applied worldwide, from street projects for children in Asia to renowned art schools in Great Britain.
In addition to the workshop, Glass will also provide a keynote talk for a group of twenty staff members and students about creative collaboration and process-oriented working.

The residency takes place from September 23 to 26 at the Netherlands Film Academy.
