Augustine studeerde twee jaar Audiovisuele Media aan de HKU, waar ze stage liep bij Beagle: In het kielzog van Darwin (2009, VPRO). Haar derdejaars documentaire Vuurrood (2014, Isabel Lamberti) won de PZC Jury Prijs tijdens Film by the Sea en werd geselecteerd voor Kustendorf 2015 en London International Documentary Film Festival. Tijdens haar stages bij Dorith Vinken en Axel Skovdal Roelofs werkte ze mee aan drie telefilms.
