Anne Teikari (Kemi, Finland, 1989) is graduating from the Master Composing for Film in Amsterdam. Working previously as a musicologist and music journalist, the dream of making film music made her to apply to the Conservatory in Amsterdam. Her educational background in classical music and playing violin, her heart has always been in pop, rock, electronic and folk music. She is willing to explore any musical genre that the film needs. Previously composed music for small chamber and pop groups, the intimate nature of hearing the person playing the film music is elementary to Anne’s approach.

During her studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Film Academy, Anne composed music for the short films DE PALING, DE GABBER EN ZIJN ZOON (Kiriko Mechanicus, 2022), Janusz (Matthijs Sluijs, 2022), Zwart Geluk (Blaka Koloku) (Mel Opti, 2023), Heimen (Carmen Maria, 2023) and Kleingeld (Daniël Bakker, 2023). In collaboration with her fellow student Fons Beijer they composed music for the short animation film Cinder (Carmen Maria, Stijn van der Plas). The final music was recorded with the FAME Orchestra in Skopje.
