Azouz is a Syrian filmmaker, photographer, and poet living in between Amsterdam and Istanbul.
His work reflects the influence of memory in the intricate web of uncertainties experienced during exile and displacement. As a filmmaker, Azouz often adopts the essayistic form and the language of cinema to seek a poetic flow that intertwines past and present, imagination and reality, and notions of 'here' and 'there’.
