Programme Structure

Though the specifics of the programme shifts from cycle to cycle, as a Greenhouse participant you can expect to take part in and have access to:

Idea Labs
Run by experienced makers and researchers, participatory workshops that invite you to put your idea to the test and interrogate them as a group are the core of the Greenhouse programme. The aim is to form a new practice-based research proposal that explores the why, what and how of what you want to investigate and for whom. In these sessions, you will evolve your initial ideas into fully-fledged experiments or proposals.

Individual Consultations
As part of the Greenhouse, you will have a series of individual one-hour consultations with external experts to help deepen your knowledge, sharpen your tools or get outside expertise. You are free to choose who you speak to or we can offer advice and access to our network of contacts. The Greenhouse staff is also on hand to offer you monthly consultations and support the general development of your research.

Individual Research Budget (€ 500,- per person)
To help you shape and execute your ideas, as a Greenhouse participant you use a budget of up to € 500,-. This amount can be used on anything that will deepen your research. You can spend it on film experiments, additional consultations, books, work/study materials, expertise, museum visits, festival badges, travel to research locations, visits to the relevant institutions, necessary training courses or any other material or activity that is relevant to your project.

Please note the programme will be conducted in English but participants are free to speak/write in Dutch as well.
