The Vertical Horizon (Towards an Ecology of Memory) | One Year Life Strata | The Refuge

María Molina is a filmmaker and audio-visual artist. She works in an open format mixing film, animation and digital media. Her body of work comprises film, interactive installations and video art.

She started her career working as an animator and art director for different TV Channels, Spanish and international agencies. In 2007 she founded the film company Summafilms, where she worked on a wide range of music videos, fiction, documentaries and advertising. 

Beyond these commissioned works, her films and art works have been showcased in international festivals like Art Futura, Amsterdam Spanish Film Festival, Festival de Cinema Independent de Barcelona, AMEE (Festival International de Arte sonoro y video arte) and art spaces, including MACBA (Barcelona), EYE Film museum (Amsterdam), Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC), Círculo de Bellas Artes (Madrid) and Centre de Cultura Contemporània Barcelona (CCCB).
