Emanuele Pellegrini has been making music for the last 20 years. His first and substantial phase has been in the field of Jazz Music (BA in Jazz Music at the Conservatorio A.Casella of L’Aquila - Italy; BA and MA in Jazz Piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam - The Netherlands). Through listening, studying and practicing the complex art of improvisation he achieved an outstanding freedom in the act of generating and developing musical material. Throughout this rich academic experience, he gained interest in combining music with other medias, which eventually led him to start his journey into Film Composition. He completed a MA on this subject with a series of brilliant soundtracks Jongen van Hout (Eva Oosterveld, 2022), A TOMATO TRAGEDY (Kiriko Mechanicus, 2023), the resurrection of a leaf (Lemuël de Graav, 2023) and is currently based in Amsterdam where his activity as composer keeps developing together with the ongoing performing career.
