Pepijn Peeters (Arnhem, 1999) is a young Dutch composer who is mainly involved in music for film. Initially starting his BA MediaMusic at the conservatory of Enschede to become a music producer, he quickly fell in love with composing music for media.
As an assistant to renowned Dutch film composer Matthijs Kieboom, Pepijn has worked on the soundtracks for De piraten van hiernaast 2, international detective series Van der Valk, nature documentary Nederland onder water and Prime Video series RICO Dream Big.
He also writes arrangements and orchestrations for concert. The most recent being orchestral arrangements for Symphonic Floyd for War Child, an orchestral tribute to Pink Floyd in the World Forum Theater in The Hague.
During his masterstudies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Pepijn composed in completely different styles for four short films. His first being a ‘film noir’ inspired score for De vader van de rechercheur (Maarten de Schutter, 2023). The second was a very intense spatial soundscape for Voltooid verleden tijd (Amanuel Feben Demoz, 2023). In his graduation year, he composed for the documentary Teken mij een thuisland (Nour Alkheder 2024) and the fiction film Doodgewoon (Ronald Zuidinga, 2024). Additionally, he recorded the music for short animation Remslaap (Husam Zakarya, 2024) with a symphony orchestra in Skopje, North Macedonia.
