Postic's approach to cinema is focused on establishing a connection between the film and the spectator, which leads to a meaningful encounter. He adopts a critical and reflexive perspective towards cinematic texts, appreciating their unique qualities and documenting the creative process.

In his lecture, Postic will guide us through his personal journey and curatorial work, exploring ideas and addressing the politics of representation. He will provide valuable insights into the dynamic interplay between the first word and the last image that a filmmaker experiences, inviting us to reflect on our relationship with language, time, and the world. Postic will share personal narratives, reflections, inquiries, uncertainties, and creative projects. The lecture will be presented in a notebook format, featuring film and moving image clips, as well as textual fragments.

Christophe Postic is the co-artistic director of the États généraux du film documentaire, the Lussas International Documentary Film Festival in France since 2002.  Since 12 years he is a trainer of documentary scriptwriting workshops with the association Doc Monde in both Kazakhstan and Siberia and recently also in French Guyana. And he has been a guest lecturer at La Fémis (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Métiers de l’Image et du Son) at the Documentary department. He was also a reader for creation assistance commissions of the French Institute, and he has led a programming workshop at the prison “La santé” in Paris.
