Experiment with new techniques in VRSpace - research periods for students free from May 2024

[Translate to English:] Studenten werken samen in VRSpace van de Nederlandse Filmacademie

Published on

Any student of the Amsterdam University of the Arts who is interested in experimenting with new techniques such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, motion capture, interactive visuals and spatial audio can do so at the VRAcademy's lab: the VRSpace.

This space, which you can use as an AHK student, is housed at the Marineterrein near the AHK Makerspace. You sign up for a research project of 4 to 6 weeks, in which you are not obliged to reach a final result.

In addition to the VRSpace itself, during this period you will have our equipment, personal coaching and possible technical support from our intern at your disposal. It is also sometimes possible to collaborate with one of the Immersive Media students at the Film Academy. However, some willingness to get involved with technology yourself is required.

We are still accepting new applications this year, as there is still room from 21 May 2024. It is also possible to apply in advance for academic year 2024-2025.
