Solving a jigsaw puzzle as a metaphor for life: A lecture performance.  

For two years, Janos explored how filmmaking can be a tool to foster and chronicle his multi- layered journey of personal transformation. In this lecture performance he publicly shares his personal process where you are invited to actively and playfully engage with the research; to embark on a journey without a clear roadmap, to think along — and to make personal questions your own.  

Processes of transformation are intricate and unfold in numerous ways on manifold levels. To do justice to the totality of an experience of transformation, it seems insufficient to document only physical life and interactions with the tangible world. The research ‘This, too, is a gift’ is an attempt to capture with equal attention — as well as translate and render — personal psycho-emotional and visceral states of being, inner worlds of images and elusive dreams. This lecture performance is an experiment—it is the artist’s first attempt to share his insights into the research process.
