For the past year, Mexican filmmaker, artist and teacher Pablo Martinez-Zárate has been linked to the Film Academy's Research Group as Artist in Residence.

As Artist in Residence, he explored the theme of 'education and research in times of crisis'. He did so by filming, writing, lecturing and by working with students of master's programme in various workshops.
All the material he collected during his time at the Academy, he has now cast in the form of an intimate exhibition in studio 7 of the Film Academy. There you'll find images, video fragments and a work-in-progress analogue essay film.

Studio 7 at the Netherlands Film Academy (Markenplein 1, Amsterdam) is open to visitors on 19 and 20 October, from 16.00 - 19.00. 
Pablo will be there to welcome you.
