What happens when our hearts are broken forever? What happens when our hearts have never been broken before? No matter how hard the past, we can always begin again. Minor things can become moments of great revelation when encountered for the first time, even if they are vegetables. What is life really about: video-games or celery?

Mariana believes in the mysterious legend of the lovers Halimah and Sukab on the island of Sawai about a hundread years ago. She journeys to Sawai to feel what Halimah once felt, hoping to find Sukab there. The people of Sawai never heard of the legend of the lovers. But there happened to be a young man named Sukab who also journeyed to the island in search of an ancient tribe. Sukab and Mariana are both in searching for something they believe in.

Being a great fan of the Iranian masters, Yassine decided to make a film in Morocco following the rules of the Iranian film. The result is the docufiction 'The Iranian Film', a political satire about a village in danger of being without flags on a national holiday.

Solo graduation show Master Film 2013

'HORTUS' is part of a large installation, exploring sensuality and intimacy in cinema. For ‘Hortus’, Edwin combines newly shot sexually explicit material with ethnographic archival footage in order to address notions of explicitness, repetition, voyeurism and exploitation in both colonialism and porn.
